Me & Madeline

BAEVY_Madeline Frozen_4x6_30.JPG

I bought her, I named her, maimed her, I put her in the freezer, in the ground, my lighter to her, watched her burn, threw her off the balcony, and heard the glass shatter. Music to my ears; her destruction a visual fest. When I tortured her my heart raced, reminding me of what you've done to me as your toy, or the cat you hung, or what I've done to myself. Not too sure, but I found home in the flames eating away her pretty dress. Sorry Madeline, but I promise we all ascend. We all,

we all, ascend.

Just close your eyes,

and pretend you're not there.

           p.s. you never were.
